Why another Migrants Blog?

Migrants are moving out from their countries of origin or birth to resettle in another country. This exodus is worldwide as many western nations need both skilled and unskilled workers to boost their economies.

Uprooting oneself is not an easy decision although the prospect of better employment, political freedom, greater wealth, security and a future for the children is all exciting. Utopia seems to be just on the horizon.

But when the plane lands on your chosen new country, it does not take long for reality to hit you hard - the culture shock, the weather, the language, the loneliness, broken family ties, the food and finding suitable employment are all real challenges. Your expectations of bliss is shattered and the land flowing with milk and honey seems to suck you dry. You wonder if you made the correct decision!

Do not despair. I am a migrant myself. I have been through many of your experiences. Read my profile to find out who I am. This Blog is my story of how I overcame these seemingly insurmountable odds to become one successful migrant. This is your blog to achieving your goals.
